WHAT TO BRING: YOUR EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST
We thought it might be helpful to share with you our basic personal gear list as a reference. Most of these items are available in our store if you forget something. Depending on the season, duration and type of trip, basic personal gear will vary.
This is just a general list intended to help you with your planning.
•One duffel bag (everything should fit in this and it should be water proof)
•Long pants (quick dry and light weight)
•Long and short sleeved shirts
•Medium weight polypro or capilene type undershirts
•Woolen or Fleece jacket
•Wool socks (expedition, quick dry)
•Shorts
•Swim suit
•Towel
•Footwear – 2 (ankle support for portaging and "wet" shoes for in the canoe)
•Hat with a brim
•Wool stocking type hat
•Cotton bandanas
•Rain gear (good quality jacket and pants)
•Knife (sheath, folding or Leatherman)
•Flashlight with extra batteries
•Personal cup (Sierra or durable plastic)
•Biodegradable soap, toothbrush, sun block and other environmentally friendly toiletries
•Insect repellent
•Sunglasses
Optional: Good book, camera, binoculars, fishing gear...
